The MN Elite camp has a few openings left for the 2006 camp season. The camp has been in operation since 1989 and is well respected in the camp circles. There are 60 college coaches at all levels that regularly attend this exposure camp. The camp is scheduled for July 25-28 at Concordia St. Paul. It is a great opportunity to play against the best and to be seen by the best.
Any interested players with the desire to play college basketball can apply to be accepted to the camp at http://www.mnelite.com/. They can click on "Interested Players" and fill out the information. The camp will then evaluate the information and possibly accept them into the camp.

TRENCH PLAYER
Amber Jacobs with her Career day
BY THE NUMBERS
Minnesota 90, 81, 111.1, .506
Chicago 82, 83, 98.8, .458
Amber Jacobs had a career offensive day in the Lynx win. Jacobs delivered a crucial basket when the score was 84-80 on a driving lay up. And in a fitting conclusion she added two free throws for the final points of the day.
Augustus had her second sub 100 pp100 day, but not by much. I felt her defense was sharper yesterday (see yesterday's analysis on that).
Mann never had an end possession, and Ohlde was a whisper. She needs to at least hit one free throw.
Chandi Jones made her first game experience a solid one with some long distance bombs. Another weapon in the artillary will help.
Abrosimova, probably the second most consistent player for the Lynx, had a strong showing to match her defensive efforts yesterday.
MN had many four possession streaks yesterday, but their longest was the five possession run at the end of the third quarter. Jacobs really put her mark on the game in the sequence with the final three scores totalling 7 points (4 straight free throws, and a 3).
It made for a happy day for the youth crowd in attendance. The arena looked like a flower garden with all the different colored shirts. The hope is these mini fans enjoyed the experience and will come back. The hope is Jacobs, a gritty player, can maintain this higher level of play consistently. The inside game (Ohlde) needs to sharpen up.
SCOUT UPDATE
The little dog is fine and is sleeping under my feet right now. there doesn't seem to be any visible effects of the incident. Big brother Sparky wags his tail when they are out together. Thanks for all that sent kind words and hopes for the dog.
And thanks to all who help giving me information.
Next up: later today with out & about Barnum/Crosby-Ironton and the final day at the Top 100 expo at St. Cloud.
