The same old problems came up to bite the Lynx on the rear end again:
1. rebounding The Lynx on three consecutive Charlotte possessions stretching over two periods (the end of the second and beginning of the third) let them take 3, 4, and 5 shots. To sum up Charlotte had 12 shots in 3 possessions. yikes! They only made four points in that sequence, allowing FIVE shots is unforgivable.
2. turnovers Why don't we let the 3rd quarter do the talking as MN had 8 turnovers in their first 11 possessions. YIKES!! That is a turnover ratio of 72.7 turnovers per 100. DOUBLE YIKES!!! It can't be layed at one players feet as five contributed to the disaster.
3. Lack of production out of the Starters (minus Seimone) The other four provided a total of 20 points or combined as a group 69.0 pp100 Yechh! Tamika Williams did score 8, and she has been stepping it up lately with 6 straight games over 100 pp100 the best on the team. The problem is she only is getting 6 possessions a game. Throw a few more to TW. Ohlde on the other hand hasn't seen 100 pp100 in six games, Mann does one game more at seven games. YECH!!
4. Defense. Yes I realize MN held Charlotte to under 100 pp100, but Sheri Sam went off at the start of the third as she scored on 5 out of the first 7 possessions. She racked up 11 points in the explosion. Unfortunately I didn't attend the game so I don't know who wasn't guarding Sam, but it is up to the team to stop a player. After the third time Sam scored didn't a light bulb go off in some Lynx's mind? Apparently not.

This isn't a coach issue. It is a lack of players that are consistent.

Next up: tomorrow morning with the general news of the day. And then an Out & about at the U of MN team camp championships.
