Daubert Pinnacle Nebraska reached the Pinnacle of the Dakota Showcase with a solid 65-57 win over SD Elite. Here is how the quarterfinals broke down:
Quarters
Iowa Select I 60, MN Triple Threat 36
SD Elite 71, ND ECI West 50
Daubert Pinnacle NEB 87, SD Riders 51
ND Prairie Shooters 55, MN Metro Stars Black 50
Semifinals
SD Elite 74, Iowa Select I 41.....SD converted 20 3 point plays, they were 17/25 from behind the arc, and added 3 conventional 3 pt plays. In one stretch in the first half with the score 13-8 in favor of SD, SDE scored on five consecutive possessions with the first four in that string all behind the arc, and Krista Rotert canning 3 3s in a row. When that string was over SDE led 27-8 and the mountain was too high.
Daubert Pinnacle NEB 65, ND Prairie Shooters 40...DPN led early big 12-0 before PS got on the board.
Finals
DPN 65, SDE 57....Key difference in this game for SDE they only made five 3 pointers, and no conventionals. They made 3 of those bombs late in the game with under 2 minutes to go.
Also on the consolation side the MN Metro Stars White won that title over SD Northern Lites.
