Today is the finals of the Adidas Mid American tournament in Bloomington Jefferson MN. All finals will be at 4 pm. There will be later reports.

TOURNAMENTS
AAU
15u
MN NC Heat and All Iowa Attack are the only area teams undefeated in pool play in the 15u tournament. NC Heat beat Maryland Magic 50-35. and AIA beat NC Vipers 68-44.
MN Total Package lost to MA DBL Phoenix 52-44
WI Dykstra Engineering lost to 61-22 to SE/TN Memphis Lady Elite, and then beat the Houston Hotshots 64-54.
MI Heat lost twice 87-39 to SW Texas Express 90; and then 60-22 to the Maryland Hurricanes.

Central Florida International Girls Shootout
Marquette MI beat Lake Mary, FL 48-28 Friday. Erin Powers was top scorer with 17. Here are some more facts from the Marquette Mining Journal.

BIG 10 vs SCANDINAVIA
The Big 10 has had good success in Denmark with and 84-52 win over Horsholm. This article is from the Ohio State press release touting their player Tamarah Riley. Here is Purdue's release with Katie Gearlds. Leslie Knight of the Gophers had a good night on Friday with 17 points in a win over the same team. Here is the St. Paul Pioneer Press with that story.

ALL STAR
MI
Michigan will have an all star game on August 5th in the 27th annual All Star Festival. The games take place in Brighton. The C vs D girls are at 11 am and the A vs B game is at 1 pm. Here is the MI Coaches Association site.

MOVE TO D1
North Dakota is in the process of moving their athletic programs to D1 status. The effect on the number of scholarships available for women will be an area that will be addressed. Their will be more scholarships available for basketball. Other women's sports will also add. Here is more on the whole situation from the Grand Forks Herald.
