Sacramento's floor % was the highest allowed defensively all year by the Lynx. Sacramento exploited that fact early and often in building up a 25-9 first quarter lead. The odd thing about their build up was their biggest string was six, on a 13-0 run. MN had droughts of 8 and 5 in the opening quarter.
MN did manage to put together a 6/7 string in the second quarter, but they never really had great stops during that sequence. They did outscore Sac 16-9 during the run.
Sac opened the 3rd quarter with a 8/9 string, MN almost matched it going 6/8. The Lynx climbed back into the game trailing 75-68, but never were closer.
9 of the Sac players were over the gold standard of 100 pp100; five players, including four starters were above 120. MN had seven total over 100, and only two above the 120 mark. Sac made 25 free throws, MN scrimped by with 9.

More of the same. Look at Seattle's inside players Jackson and Burse. Both their floor %, and pp100 were outstanding. Seattle was getting very good shots inside. They had 50 in the paint compared to 22 for the Lynx.
In the 4th quarter Seattle had a string of 9 and were 15/20 for the quarter. Only five stops by MN in the 4th. Also MN allowed 9 lay ups in the quarter. No wonder Seattle had such a nice floor %. When Seattle was building that 9 string, MN was fumbling, bumbling, and stumbling with an 0/8 possession string including four off turnovers.

For the season MN's offensive pp100 is at 99.68 which is slightly under the gold standard, but quite respectable. The problems the Lynx face can be found on the defensive end with 105.3 pp100, and a floor % at .494. When MN holds teams to under 102 pp100 they are 4-1. over that and their record is a miserable 1-11.
