BY THE NUMBERS
Minnesota 90, 76, 118.4, .632
Los Angeles 78, 76, 102.6, .500

Minnesota's defense had their worst performance in floor % and their second worst in pp100. The NY Liberty holds the dubious record of 122.4 pp100. The fact is the Lynx just can't close the deal. LA's worst drought was a four possession spell late in the fourth quarter when the game was well in command. If we talk about consecutive strings on the other hand LA ruled with five in the first and second quarters followed by an 8/9 run in the third quarter.

The defensive aggressiveness had a total of 7 forced turnovers. One turnover had nothing to do with the Lynx. LA just had a miscommunication on passing. LA went to the line 32 times and made 24, two less than the attempts by Minnesota. LA had 40% of the rebounds if they missed a shot, MN had 33%. Or if you want to put it another way LA had 67 % of the defensive rebounds, while MN had 60%. That number needs to ratchet up. Tippie Toe defense, getting caught out of position, trailing cutters, and not wrapping up possession of the ball when given the opportunity is sending the Lynx to Lotto Land.
