ELITE CAMP OPENINGS
MN
The MN Elite camp has a few openings left for the 2006 camp season. The camp has been in operation since 1989 and is well respected in the camp circles. There are 60 college coaches at all levels that regularly attend this exposure camp. The camp is scheduled for July 25-28 at Concordia St. Paul. It is a great opportunity to play against the best and to be seen by the best.

Any interested players with the desire to play college basketball can apply to be accepted to the camp at http://www.mnelite.com/. They can click on "Interested Players" and fill out the information. The camp will then evaluate the information and possibly accept them into the camp.

BOOKS AND AUTHORS
Coach Dave Thorpe will not be the first out with a book this year. Mike Schanhofer, former coach at Luxemburg-Casco and now current coach at Menasha in Wisconsin, has written a book "The inside world of coaching: Nightmare or Nirvana?" If you are curious about this book find out more from the Green Bay Press Gazette. Thorpe is hard at work on his publication as we speak.

MOVING UP
HI
La Pietra had a good year in the D2 level in Hawaii this past year, but now they are being moved up to D1 despite the fact that their school is six to seven times smaller than the traditional D1 powers like Punahou. Here is what is happening in Hawaii and how teams are placed in their respective classes. Story is from the Honolulu Advertiser.
