IOWA IRISH CHAMPS
A team of Iowans won the European Challenge tournament in Limerick Ireland on Sunday. The big gun was Jennifer Jorgensen of SE Webster with 26 points as they beat University of Limerick 44-36. Here is more from the Des Moines Register plus more on Rachel Madrigal and her verbal to Northern Iowa.

VERBALS

LITTLE FALLS AAU
Here is a story on the Little Falls AAU team. They finished 2nd in the state tournament and then went to Orlando to play in the Level 2 National tournament. They were the only school team mixed in with "all star" teams. Here is the Morrison County Record with more on the experience.

KUEHU'S SUMMER
Shawna Lei-Kuehu of two time champion Punahou had a big summer. She wound up playing for a California team. She made a nice transition to the perimeter there averaging 17 ppg. She has quite a bit of interest from the mainland including UConn. Here is the Honolulu Star Bulletin with more.

MICHIGAN OPENS
Today the Fall season opens as Michigan, the only state left playing in the fall, started practice. I am sure we will be seeing and reading a lot about this in the coming months.
