WAHLIN
The Crookston Times has more on the Kamille Wahlin verbal to Iowa.
BRYANT
Maggie Bryant of Sartell plays soccer in the fall and will be headed to Northern State for basketball. The St. Cloud Times has a report on their last section play off game against Detroit Lakes where Bryant scored the winning goal.
MYAS FALL CHAMPS
The MYAS fall season ended last Sunday and here are the Division champs
BLUE: Hopkins
WHITE: St. Paul Central
RED: Centennial White
GREEN: Midtown Lady Monarchs
ORANGE: Suns
YELLOW: Minnehaha
PINK: Barnum Gold
PURPLE: Wayzata Pacers; St. Paul Humboldt
All were 7-0 except Minnehaha at 6-0 and the Purple division winners at 5-2.
COACHING NEWS
Chris Kelley has been hired as the new girls basketball coach at Gladstone, Michigan. He has been the freshman coach for the past 7 seasons. From the Escanaba Daily Press.
JANSSEN TRIAL
The second victim in the David Janssen trial testified yesterday with e-mail trails and testimony described. Janssen was the former coach at Hortonville, WI. From the Appleton Post Crescent.

WAHLIN VERBALSKamille Wahlin, Crookston has verballed Iowa. The 5-8 left handed point guard averaged 19.9 ppg for the 24-3 AA Pirates last year. Her team finished second in the AA state tournament in her sophomore season
Wahlin played with North Tartan Larson this summer. She will join NTL teammate Hannah Draxten at Iowa. She is the 4th player of NTL to go D1 this year.
Wahlin is the 29th player overall in the Minnesota 2008 class to verbal and the 13th to verbal a D1 school.

CLINIC
The first North Central Minnesota Multi-Sport Coaching/Athlete Clinic will be held at Cass Lake-Bena on September 15-16. Speakers include girls basketball coaches Wendy Kohler, Alexandria and Randy Swanhorst, Crosby-Ironton among others. From the Lake Country Echo and the Alexandria Echo Press.
COACHING MOVE
Mark Henrich has been hired as girls basketball coach at Rush City. He previously was a coach at Alden-Conger. Jeremy Albright moved from the girls to the boys side at RC. RC was 1-22 last year. From the East Central MN Post Review.
QUEENS OF THE COURT
KSAX of Alexandria has a story on the North Tartan 14 team and their success this past summer. The End of the Trail tournament championship is featured. Local players Sari Noga, Parkers Prairie; Liza Torgerson of West Central; and Angela Christianson of Alexandria are the queens.
