Rochester is the #1 team in the preseason NJCAA D3 poll. Also Rochester's Anne Breland is a preseason All American.
Northland is #11 and Anoka-Ramsey is #15 in the poll. Itasca received votes.
Shawna Rogalla of Northland is a second team All American.

The Minnesota coaching clinic moves to Hill-Murray today. Yesterday I caught part of the action with Minnesota coach Pam Borton during her transition demonstration. Also men's coach Tubby Smith spoke for 30 minutes.

The Iowa Basketball Coaches Association will hold its annual Fall Clinic October 31st and November 1st at Urbandale High School in Des Moines. The members only clinic is one of the largest high school clinics in the country with over 1300 in attendace each year. Speakers headlining the 2008 clinic include; Todd Lickliter, Head Coach at the University of Iowa, Bruce Pearl, Head Coach at the University of Tennessee, & Jeff Capel of the University of Oklahoma. Freshman McKensey Long (Carthage, IL) scored a career high 20 points to leadfive double digit scorers.
Breann Hill added 19 points, Allie Lindemann scored 12, Rachele Monroe 11 and Lauren Thomas-Johnson 10. Lindemann added eight assists.

The Eagles led 35-25 at halftime before extending the lead to as many as 29 points in the second half at 64-35.
Allie Lindemann added 12 points and four assists, while Lauren Thomas-Johnson added 10.
Iowa central was led by Morgan Brown's 13 points.

The Eagles shot 50% (14-28) from the three point line including 11-19 the first half. Sophomore Allie Lindemann hit five of those three-pointers and led the Eagles with 21 points, Alicia Wright also scored 21. Lindsey Elliott (16), Breann Hill (12) and Lauren Thomas-Johnson (11) also scored in double figures. The eagles host NJCAA Division II top ranked Iowa Central on Wednesday night in Cedar Rapids.

Kirkwood jumped out to a 41-20 halftime lead in running their conference record to 6-0 with a 87-49 victory over Ellsworth CC in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The Eagles 12-5 overall are ranked eighth in the latest NJCAA Division II national poll, used three double digit scorers in the victory.
Marquette recruit Lauren Thomas-Johnson scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds. Freshman El Sara Greer came off the bench to score 13 points and grab six rebounds. Breann Hill scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Jayne Strand's nine rebounds was a team high as the Eagles used a 44-21 rebound advantage.

Bemidji State beat SW MN State 77-70 on Friday. Stephanie Peterson (Bismarck Century) and Karlee Simonson (Rockford) had 15 each for BSU. Liz Grider (Chaska), Sara Leidell (Rochester Century), and Tori Fink (North Fond du Lac, WI) had 14 each.

UN Omaha beat Metro State 69-56. Cayla Hargorve (North St. Paul) had 9 for Omaha. Alyssa Benson (Minnetonka) did not score for Metro State.

North Dakota beat Adams State 82-61. Kierah Kimbrough (BGMR) had 17 for UND. Kelsie Kruger (Marshall) had 10 for Adams State.

Augustana beat Regis 83-78 in overtime on Friday. Ashley Holiday (Hamlin, SD) had 19. Stevie Seitz (Benilde-St. Margaret's) had 18. On Saturday the Vikings beat CSU Pueblo 87-78. Holiday, who was named tournament MVP, had 22.
