WISCONSIN SIGNINGS
Taylor Wurtz of Ripon will be a Badger. From the Badger Beat and the Oshkosh Northwestern.

Caitie O'Leary of Janesville Parker signed with Chicago Loyola. From the Janesville Gazette.

The Sioux City Journal has released their All NW Iowa team.

The Albert Lea Tribune has named a couple of Iowans as their Player of the Year-Kate Harmon of Northwood and Coach of the Year-Daryl Love of Northwood.

NORTH DAKOTA REPORTS
There are proposals out to change the B tournaments in North Dakota due to declining enrollments. From the Grand Forks Herald.

TOURNAMENT
There is a tournament at the Kress Center in Green Bay with De Pere playing Appleton West at 5 p.m. and Ashwaubenon playing Kimberly at 7 p.m. There are a lot of UWGB connections among the teams. From the Green Bay Press Gazette.

Wisconsin HS Elite Invite Results

ELITE INVITATIONAL
The Wisconsin High School Elite Invitational Tournament was held last weekend in Wausau.
There were four divisions just like the high school winter season
In D1 Middleton won the crown with a 49-36 win over Fond du Lac.
In D2 Columbus beat Luxemburg-Casco 47-40
In D3 Osseo-Fairchild took the title with a 50-48 win over Oostburg.
In D4 Hilbert beat Clayton 56-51.
All the WHSEIT results can be found on the tournament page.
Caledonia MN was 3-1 in the D3 Green pool. Colfax beat Caledonia in the quarterfinals 58-54. Caledonia finished in 5th place.
Rushford-Peterson, MN was 5-0 in the D4 Blue pool. They lost in the quarterfinals to Clayton 39-30 and finished in 5th place.

This weekend the Wells Fargo Plymouth Girls Basketball Shootout will take place in Plymouth, WI. Games start Friday at 5 pm.

Gym Rats Win in Menomonie, Tourneyville Brackets

GREAT LAKES SHOOTOUT
The Omaha Crusaders (older team) won the Great Lakes Shootout in Menomonie last weekend. The finals had no Wisconsin teams with OC beating the Dakota Lightning 69-44. Dakota Lightning was 0-3 in pool play. Team WI Select 17, who have won two tournaments in Menomonie this year, lost in the semis to OC 54-35.
In the HS level it was Eau Claire North taking the title with a 46-22 win over Barron.

At the Bronze level the Gym Rats 14 U won the Bronze Division (15U) at the Great Lakes Shootout in Menominee last weekend. They defeated the Jr. Bison 43-33.

TOURNEYVILLE
If you notice the scores and results are powered by tourneyville.com.

Tourneyville.com provides custom bracketing and live scoring. The site hosts just logs in to the site and selects a bracket and game and enters the score. Pool play records are automatically calculated and in bracket play teams advance automatically. Tourneyville provides a desktop and handheld web interface for tournament administration, most used function is of course posting scores. Cell phone with Internet access can be used to post scores and perform other useful tournament administration functions like posting schedule changes and querying a game score to name a couple of the more commonly used administrative tasks.

Tourneyville is providing online custom bracketing and live scoring for all the basketball events run by the Wisconsin AAU this season, including their Shootouts events in July.

Basketball is not their only sport either, the service can be used for any sport. Tourneyville is running all the baseball tournaments this summer run by the Eastern New York Travel Baseball league and expect this sport to grow quickly as word gets out that they are the only player in the world that can provide an online custom bracket that model the complex double elimination brackets that are used by the major sanctioning bodies for baseball national qualifying tournaments.

Tourneyville is a Minnesota based company, and got thei start doing traveling basketball tournaments two years ago. They have 100% customer retention and this remains a company goal.

D1: South defeated the North 64-57, end of the story in the Sheboygan Press.
D2: South defeated the North 66-46, tailend of a story in the Maniotowoc Herald Times.
D3: South hammered the North 90-42, again in the Sheboygan Press.
D4: the North managed to get one win over the South 74-63.

ALL STAR GAME SATURDAY
The Southern Lakes is well represented with four players in the All Star games, one of which is Lin Zastrow of Jefferson. From the Janesville Gazette.
