Iowa kicks off their six day state tournament with four quarterfinals in 1A and two more in 2A.

11:30 am Central Decatur plays undefeated Twin River Valley. Tierra Smith leads Central Decatur and Liz Trauger powers TRV
1 pm Postville sees defending champ Charter Oak-Ute. Jessica Heins stands tall for Postville, while the Kuhlmann sisters, senior Kala and sophomore Kami are part of a strong contingent for COU
2:30 pm Fairfield Maharishi faces Treynor. Sofia Iwobi is the engine for Maharishi while Tricia Trotter paces the Treynor attack

6:30 pm Tipton takes on North Butler in the evening round. Ashley Miller leads Tipton, while Indy Uhlenhopp and Erin Brock give NB a one two punch
8:00 pm Solon closes the night with AGWSR. Jodie Krall leads Solon, Mindy Hutchcroft is AGWSR's engine.

8: #3E Fosston plays upset minded #8 Grygla-Goodridge at Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls; #2W Kittson Central plays another upset minded team in #5 Stephen-Argyle also at Engelstad Arena
My guess there are so many games today because tomorrow there are none scheduled due to political caucus events in the evening.
