Out & About: DeLaSalle/Willmar

#1 posting 3.16.2006

DeLaSalle 61, Willmar 45

The lead see sawed in the first half. Rachel Booth scored in the paint for DLS as they took the lead at 24-22 in the first half. They closed up 28-25 at half.
Both teams were efficient to start the second half. On the first 8 possessions only Willmar's third possession ended in a missed shot. The first bump up from the three/one split came on Anna Kovalchuk's three on DLS's 4th possession of the second half as they went up 37-31. Willmar had a drought of seven in the middle of the half. DLS went on a 9-0 run at the time.

DLS's defense made everything more difficult for Willmar. Besides Laura Nielsen only Andrea Brown looked to score.
