As reported in a previous post IKM beat Twin River Valley. Now you can get the details from the Fort Dodge Messenger. http://www.messengernews.net/sports_full.asp?3261
It was raining 3s for Treynor. The Des Moines Register lets you feel the game http://desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060309/SPORTS080202/603090417/1019/SPORTS08

For the two games I didn't get to see the Des Moines Register sees it for you http://desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060309/SPORTS080202/603090415/1019/SPORTS08 and more on the Washington/North game http://desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060308/SPORTS080202/60308022/1023/SPORTS13
Earlier you may remember that #1 in 2A Davenport Assumption was upset by Audubon. That wasn't the only thing upset. The media didn't get a chance to interview any Assumption coach or player. Here is what the Quad City Times has to say on the controversy. http://www.qctimes.net/articles/2006/03/09/sports/doc440f6ba01eb1f520640909.txt
Today the matchups are in 2A and 3A
2A
North Butler faces AGSWR and then Battle Creek-Ida Grove takes on #1 slayer Audubon
3A
In the evening games Norwalk faces Cedar Rapids Xavier while Harlan takes on #1 Ballard.

MINNESOTA SECTION ACTION
AAAA
5: It was the day of the underdog in this section. It was also the day of Robbinsdale district teams as #5 Armstrong dropped #1 Maple Grove. Cooper will be playing their cross district rival as they ended Irondale's season 72-59
AA
4: Tops seeds ruled in 4 with Cannon Falls smothering Visitation 73-43 and #1 in the state Breck powering past Jordan 69-43. These teams will meet Friday at Delano.
7: Both #1s advance with #1E Esko beating Pequot Lakes 52-38; and #1W Crosby-Ironton trouncing Proctor 79-38. Finals will be at Hibbing today.
A
4: Both top seeds advanced, both from the MCAA: West Lutheran took out CHOF 53-44 and defending region champ Meadow Creek downed Maranatha 59-46. Their finals will be in Delano on Friday.

AAAA
2. Hopkins and Edina, two Classic Lake neighbors and rivals see each other in the Pavillion at the U of MN in the late game. Hopkins has defeated Edina twice, the first time in triple overtime.
3: St. Paul Central is looking to get back to the tournament. In the way is Tartan. That contest will be at Arlington HS in St. Paul
6: In the game that should be in the state tournament--two entrants to last year's tournament meet. Defending champ Bloomington Kennedy with one loss and three D1 front court players led by Jenna Smith battles undefeated Minneapolis South with freshman phenom Tayler Hill. There is quite a bit of interest in this one.
AAA
3: It is the battle of the Catholics as DeLaSalle is looking for their first entry into the state against last year's runner up Holy Angels led by Jessica Miller. This game is at Hastings.
7: The battle of the Hs with Hermantown facing #1 Hibbing at Denfeld HS in Duluth. Hermantown won the section last year.
AA
1: In a rematch from 2001 Winona Cotter takes on Kingsland in Rochester. Cotter won that battle. Kingsland is looking for it's first ticket to state. They went in 1978 as Spring Valley. Both are #1 seeds. Kingsland has beat Cotter twice this year.
7: In a battle between #1s Esko faces Crosby-Ironton at Hibbing.
A
1: Elgin-Millville will look to defend their title, but only if they can get past Goodhue. This game will be at Rochester. Goodhue last went dancing in 1996 in the old two class system.
