8: Fergus Falls took out Detroit Lakes on Saturday in Moorhead. I received two different messages from my readers and I appreciate that. I want this site to be the source for daily news on girls basketball. Here are two versions of the game. This is from the FF Journal http://www.fergusfallsjournal.com/articles/2006/03/06/sports/sports02.txt This one is from Craig Olson sports. http://www.craigolsonsports.com//newsarticle.php?nid=18936 Thanks all who help make this a destination site.

1: Kingsland smothered Rochester Lourdes with a harrassing in your face defense the whole court 38-25. They will take on Winona Cotter in the finals Thursday. I would like to give you the link to the Rochester paper for the story, but it won't take as it is subscription based. Also in news that may be of interest to the rest of the state--that may have been Lourdes' coach Myron Glass' last game. He has retired from teaching and he stated he was undecided on his future.

2: #2S GHEC tasted the sweet flavor of revenge as they turned the tables on #1 Nicollet 69-55. This was a statement as in all other games only a few points separated the two. Nicollet had won two of the three meetings until last night. Again the Mankato Free Press tells the tale.

They will now face #3E Fosston as the clock struck midnight for the previous Cinderella #8E Grygla-Goodridge 44-38. That game takes place Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls on Friday.
