POINT PARADE (Late information edition)
MN
A
Chelsey Grondahl, Cook 33 vs Cherry (f17)
Chesley Grondahl, Cook 41 vs Mesabi East 72-66 (f23)
I usually find this information in the Duluth paper, but they have dropped some teams from their coverage area. This information was provided by a fan from the north. If you have information that you want to share, go to the profile down below on the right, and email me the information.

MILESTONES
MN
Chelsey Grondahl, Cook reached the 1000 point mark. From what I can gather she is the only solo Cook player to reach the mark. There were two players for Cook-Orr that made the 1000 point mark.
Krista Opheim, Eden Valley-Watkins reached the 1000 assist mark with 12 assists in a 59-46 win against Watertown-Mayer in the 5AA Finals.

NUMBER 1s
HAWAII
Punahou starts the season #1 in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. Hawaii plays their HS season in the spring.

PLAYERS OF THE YEAR
WI
Mariah Dunham of Watertown was named player of the year in Wisconsin. I have had her listed as the #1 player in Wisconsin for her class for the last two years. If you had my books you would have known that. Now you can read what the AP said. This is from the Duluth News Tribune. http://www.duluthsuperior.com/mld/duluthsuperior/14092113.htm
MN
Metro Player of the Year: Jenna Smith, Bloomington Kennedy. I would link it, but you need to be a subscriber to the StarTribune.
ND
This is an article from the Valley City Times Record. It talks about the player of the year in the EDC. Of course they are going to supprt the Valley City player Jossy Bergan. I do not agree with their assertions however. My feeling about player of the year is that their team better be successful. You need to make your teammates better than they really are. That is the mark of a special player. That is why I have no problem with the EDC player of the year Alys Seay of Grand Forks Central. You can decide for yourself http://www.times-online.com/articles/2006/03/13/sports/01mike.txt

Once the winter season is done this site will still be rolling with Hawaii information (their season is in the spring) plus all the coaching/players moves that go on.
Also AAU, All Star camps, All Star games, Summer Leagues will be covered with the help of you the readers. Only so much is covered in the papers during the off season.

Next up: AA Preview this afternoon; A Preview tonight
