Dakota Showcase, Augustana

pool play
ECI GOLD WEST 80, KANSAS HOOP SERVICE 29
Tall, fast, and efficient ECI Gold West ran roughshod over Kansas Hoop Service. This was over fast, but they still had to play both halves. ECIGW led 20-0 before KHS hit a basket. KHS took a time out at 12-0 when the KHS coach asked "why are we here?" The question reverberated throughout the gymnasium. I was asking the same question to myself for myself. The game was not competitive and there was no doubt with what was happening. Before the time out KHS had three turnovers out of their nine possessions. The next three possessions were all turnovers. All in all it was a 15 possession drought. They also had two seven droughts later in the first half. It was an insurmountable 40-6 lead for ECIGW at half.
KHS had an eight possession drought to start the second half. At that point ECIGW led 49-6. In the end it was 80-29. It couldn't come quick enough.
