IRELAND TRIP
The Mason City Newman Catholic girls basketball team is headed to Ireland on July 23 and returns on July 31. They will play 7 games on the Emerald Isle. From the Mason City Globe Gazette.

PLAYING 56 YEARS LATER
The Uthoff sisters of Norway, Iowa are back playing basketball after a 56 year absence. They stopped the day their father died of a heart attack watching their game. Now they are playing in the 6-6 tournament in the Iowa State Games. From the Des Moines Register.
