PAN AM CHAMPS
Team USA won their first Pan American championships in 20 years with a 79-66 win over host Brazil. Gopher Emily Fox did not score in the championship game.

COACHING NEWS
Nate Oakland has been hired as an assistant coach an Northern Iowa. Oakland was an assistant at UM Morris two years ago.

Central Michigan coach Sue Guevara has been busy since her hiring. She has a Q & A session with the Mount Pleasant Morning Sun.

FULL MEMBERSHIP
The University of Mary is now full fledged D2 and will be able to compete for national championships. They will also be eligible to play in the Northern Sun post season tournaments. From KXMB.

READY
Celeste Hoewisch was a redshirt at UW Green Bay last season. She is ready for to make her mark this season. Hoewisch was player of the year in the Appleton Post Crescent which is where this story originates.

OFF TO GREECE
