JONES VERBALS
Georgie Jones, St. Paul Central, has made a verbal to Marquette. Jones averaged 13 points per game for the undefeated AAAA Champs. Jones plays with MN Stars Hested during the AAU Season. Jones will join 2007 Central grad and MN Miss Basketball Angel Robinson at Marquette. Jones is the 9th player from the 2008 class to verbal a D1 school, and 12th overall to make the early commitment. The 2007 class had 15 verbal D1 schools.

COACHING NEWS
UM Crookston has added Nate Mahlen to the women's basketball staff. Mahlen played high school ball for coach Mike Roysland at Win-E-Mac. Former assistant Abby Hearn is now the head coach at Eureka College in Illinois.
Also Kim Roysland will be an assistant golf coach at UMC. From the Crookston Times.
