MN ELITE CAMP WEST DIVISION
LYNX 41, SPARKS 35

This game had a lower possessions than the East Game I saw so the score is lower and the pp100 is pretty close to what happened in the first game. The Lynx took the early initiative and maintained that lead throughout the game. The only time they trailed was after the first possession at 1-0. The biggest Lynx lead in the first half came at 17-8 after Alise Holst cashed in two free throws. She led both teams in scoring with 19 for the night and had 8 in the first half. The Sparks didn't have the offensive spark a couple of stretches in the first half. They endured a six and five possession dry spell. The Lynx led at half time 21-14.

The Sparks did make a 10-4 run early in the second half to close the margin to 25-24. Kyana Johnson and Anna Kovalchuk each had five points (including a 3) for the Sparks. Another nasty drought dried up any momentum for the Sparks however with a 1/8 offensive sequence. The Lynx put some distance between the two teams with a 7-2 run. The Sparks narrowed the margin to four points twice (33-29, 39-35) but each time was answered by the Lynx.
