13U RESULTS X 2
In the big matchup of the day #1 Midtown Lady Monarchs beat #2 Mpls. Lady Cats 13s 56-52 in double OT. The Lady Cats 14s have found homes with other teams and will only be playing 13U from now on.

It was quite a battle as the Monarchs had to come back from as many as 12 down in the second half. The Lady Cats had to make last second baskets to force overtime and a second overtime. For the Monarchs Tory Rule was 8-8 in FT for the game and Marissa Janning scored 14 2nd half points. For the Lady Cats Sarina Baker and Brianna Williams each scored 12 points in the 2nd half. Each team shot 67% of the free throw line.

Both teams likely play each other again for the championship at 2:00 pm today, and again next week at the MYAS 14U/8th D1 Spring Championship and again the next week at the MN AAU Championship.

In the Monarchs' earlier game they beat a good Olympic Ice 13 team 69-46.

St. Paul Central lost a close game to North Tartan 13s.
