This game took place on Saturday, May 19
Forest Lake AAU Tournament
Junior Girls, Pool E
SWISH 56, MN NORTHERN LYNX 32

With the changing nature of the tournament format MN Northern Lynx found themselves shuttled to pool E from pool C. The Swish had more swishes in the 56-32 victory. The Swish didn't really hit their stride until the second half.

Both teams struggled in the first half with the Swish leading 20-11 after 16 minutes. The Lynx led was at 3-1 after a Megan Cleveland three. The last time the Lynx saw the lead was at 8-7 after Devin Diedrich basket. The Lynx had droughts of 5 and 8. The Swish used that down time to add 9 points to their total for a 16-8 lead. Swish weren't firing on all cylinders as they also had a five possession dry spell. The hottest hand for the Lynx belonged to Sara Hoge with six points. That was to be the extent of her scoring. Strangely enough the top Swisher was Brook Dunsmoore with five points. She too came up empty in the second half.

The Lynx were able to cut the margin to six 23-17, but after that Swish revved up their motors. They ran off five straight scoring possessions and were 14/16 to break the game open with a 27-9 run in the space of nine minutes. Andrea Hagberg had five points in the initial five possession string. The transition game kicked in for the Swish with 11 points in the second half. The Lynx were 1/9 during a portion of that blitz with only one point.
