This game took place on Sunday, May 20
Forest Lake AAU Tournament
Junior Girls, Silver Quarterfinals
QUEST 55, NORTH TARTAN CROSBY 44

I originally put this up on my Gabcast Channel Episode 23.

This is only a partial report since we got to the game at half time. We weren't planning on covering the game but I figured I would take out the notebook and track what was happening. At half time North Tartan Crosby led 27-18.

Quest quickly turned the tables on NTC with four straigth scores to start the second half. It was a 9-2 run spearheaded by Becca Friestleben. She had a three from the left wing and a cut. NTC started the half with three straight turnovers. NTC kept the lead and pushed it back out to 34-30 with 11:14 to go in the game. Both teams had some dry spells with six possessions dry for NTC. The Quest fared slightly better with a four possession drought. Quest took the lead for good on a rebound basket by Bentley Mancini 38-37. Quest finished the contest with a 7/8 scoring sequence and continued to put distance between themselves and NTC. Friestleben had 19 points in the half, and 10 in the last 3 minutes of the game. No one could stop her and she was smoking. She hit two straight 3s to put Quest up 7. She scored from the top of the key and then Molly Geske for NTC answered right back to make it 46-42 with 1:46 left. Friestleben hit her other 3 to go up 49-42 after a NTC time out. Quest moved on to the semis.

QUEST
2ND HALF STARTERS
Bentley Mancini, Apple Valley 4, 3, 133.3, .667 boarded well on D. had a pull up jumper.
Becca Friestleben, Holy Family 19, 12, 158.3, .667 extremely focused. zeroed in. ice water in the veins. constantly hitting money shots. wants the ball. She is also extremely aggressive on defense getting in proper position for boards. RF: most of her shots on the drive are off one foot. had one assist. could be more aware of double teams.
Cassie Hubler, Apple Valley 4, 2, 200.0, 1.000 transition baskets. good speed.
Mary Dolan-O'Brien, Holy Angels 2, 2, 100.0, .500 post player. RF: needs to get stronger to play inside. Is probably more suited to face. Needs to score when hit.
Shannon Thompson, Apple Valley 2, 2, 100.0, .500 speedy point guard. had 2 assists
