AAU STATE 19 CHAMPIONSHIP
The Minnesota Metro Stars 19U won the 19U state championship in a best of three tournament with the MN Gym Rats 19U.
The Metro Stars won the first game in double overtime 67-64. Minnetonka's Elle Queen hit a 3 point shot at the buzzer to send the game into overtime.
In the second game Minnetonka's Alyssa Benson hit a three point shot with 8 seconds left to give the Metro Stars a 54-53 victory to take the 19U title.
This is coach Andy Meinhardt's fourth state AAU state championship in six years with the Metro Stars.

SKYVIEW AAU TOURNAMENT: 15
The Minnestoa Metro Stars 15U team went 5-0 this weekend at Skyview despite a seeding process that left many in attendance shaking their heads.
After beating Minnesota School of Basketball, Lakeville North, MN Fury, and the MN Stars the Metro Stars beat North Tartan 46-42 to win the tournament despite being down 9 points at halftime. The Metro Stars went 9/25 from the foul line and were also missing forward Molly Duehn of Burnsville in the game as she was getting confirmed.
The Metro Stars 15U team should be the #1 team heading into the state tournament in two weeks.

COACH TEAS' PET PEEVES
Today we continue the list started last Monday on Coach Teas' Pet Peeves. Last week we had #10-13. Today #7-9.
#9: letting your own player get a five second call by not moving to the ball and providing help.
#8: Not being aware of the clock and time/score situations
#7: Complaining, making a show of disgust, or trying to lobby the ref for a call. That will not help you get a call the next time. What might help is to bite your tongue and hustle after loose balls that go out of bounds. Refs don't like running and might appreciate the help.
