Exhibition Season Opens

EXHIBITION SEASON
South Dakota State opened their exhibition season with a 78-60 win over Bemidji State. Courtney Grimsrud and Stacie Oistad led the way for SDSU with 16 points. Stephanie Peterson, also had 16 for Bemidji State. Here is the box. Senior Megan Vogel is playing through a broken thumb on her shooting hand. From the Sioux Falls Argus Leader.

Central Michigan lost their exhibition opener to Athletes in Action 92-78. AIA hit 91% of their 3s on the night. From the Mt. Pleasant Morning Sun. Also the CMU Box.

Minnesota starts it's exhibition season tonight with a game against Winona State. Freshman Brianna Salley will be watching from the sidelines due to an ankle injury and may be out for four weeks. From the StarTribune, and Pioneer Press.

UW Green Bay opens their season tonight with an exhibition against the WI AAU all stars. UWGB has all five starters back as they look to get back to the NCAA tournament this year after missing it last year. From the GB Press-Gazette.

Spring Arbor starts their season tonight with new coach Tara Kreklau. Kreklau coached at Dickinson State the past seven years. From the Jackson Citizen Patriot.

PRESEASON PREVIEWS
North Dakota will need to replace two starters from the 2006 North Central champs. But the Sioux have plenty of talent returning. They are picked 2nd in the USA today ESPN preseason poll.

St. Norbert's is picked for 2nd in the Midwest Conference. Carroll has the top spot.

Mott Community College finished fourth in the nation last year, and had a 28-9 record. They have nine newcomers to add to the three returners. From the Flint Journal.
