Northwood signed two players recently: Megan Gonta, Brighton whose sister is attending Northwood already, and Pam Wilson from Grand Blanc. From the Midland Daily News.

#17 Michigan State beat Houston 68-55. Mia Johnson, Mpls North did not start this game and only finished with one point.

Michigan State's paper the State News lists 10 things they have learned so far about the MSU team. Among them #3 Mia Johnson is a dynamic player.

Iowa beat Creighton in what the Daily Iowan called an ugly win over Creighton 75-69. The Des Moines Register focused on the free throw shooting in their story. Creighton's Michele Kaus from Eastview had 14 points to lead the Bluejays.

#2 North Carolina beat Arkansas 94-69 in the Rainbow Wahine Classic.

#4 Tennessee beat Middle Tennessee State 88-64

#8 Georgia downed #11 Stanford 74-69

Texas Tech upset #21 UCLA 75-60 in the 5th place game in the Rainbow Wahine Classic.

#24 Louisville crunched Northern Colorado 82-52

Hillsdale ripped Ohio Valley 79-61. Hilldale is now 4-0.
