Haas Verbals, Stedman 1000

HAAS VERBALS
Katie Haas, Tartan HS, MN, has made a verbal to UM Duluth. The 6-2 center averaged 10.5 ppg last year for the 26-3 3AAAA runner up. Haas played this summer with North Tartan Blue. Haas is the 25th MN 2007 player to make a verbal and the 9th to go to a D2 school.

MILESTONE
Savannah Stedman, Ortonville Brandon notched her 1000 point in a 53-43 win over Lapeer East. Stedman had 17 on the night. Stedman is headed to Northwestern next season.

MICHIGAN HS ACTION
#1C Saginaw Nouvel and #5A Saginaw Arthur Hill tangled and ABC12 has highlights. Nouvel won 50-43. Grand Blanc vs Carman-Ainsworth is also featured.

Kalamazoo Loy Norrix had a measure of revenge on Kalamazoo Central in a 58-50 win. Central trailed by 28 in the 3rd quarter, but the comeback bid was short.

Jackson Christian broke three records in a 82-42 thumping of Camden-Frontier. They set records for most points scored, 10 3s, and Lauren Lee made her 35th 3 of the season. From the Jackson Citizen Patriot.

Samantha Johnston scored at the buzzer to help Flint Kearsley edge Davison 47-45 in overtime. From the Flint Journal.

Muskegon won a rivalry game against Mona Shores 57-48. It was the second time Muskegon beat Mona Shores this year. From the Muskegon Chronicle.

In a battle of top 10 D teams it was #10D Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart edging #7D Frankfort 49-46. You will need to scroll down in the Traverse City Record-Eagle to get to the recap.
