MINNESOTA
Both the StarTribune and Pioneer Press were in attendance last night at the St. Paul Central Hopkins contest. If you want further details you need to look at my story.
Centennial and Central play for the championship at 8; Hopkins plays North for 3rd at 6 at Hamline.

The other interesting event is the four game Lake vs Big 9 match ups at Rochester Century. Maybe a better term would be North 1AAAA vs South 1AAAA since Farmington really isn't Lake.

Bemidji has a new coach Rick Kehoe taking over. Here is what the Bemidji Pioneer thinks of the season ahead.

Fort Dodge pulled an upset over #9 4A Johnston 63-60 at Johnston's own gym. From the Fort Dodge Messenger.

The upsets didn't stop there with#8 4A West Des Moines Valley knocking off #1 4A and defending state champion Des Moines Roosevelt 59-55.
Des Moines Lincoln chopped down Waukee 69-64.

WISCONSIN
Waupun pounded Milwaukee Marshall 62-28 in the Milwaukee Custer Tournament. From the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen.

In a little border hopping DC Everest traveled to Decorah IA for their tournament. DCE won their first game against Edgewood-Colesburg, IA 34-28 and will face the hosts, the #2 3A team in Iowa tonight.

MICHIGAN
Bessemer Speedgirls made it to state and will play Rapid River in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. From the Ironwood Daily Globe.

Dave Raymond, Summerfield's coach, was named Monroe County Region coach of the year by the Monroe Evening News.
