MICHIGAN
Michigan wraps up their season this week with four tournament champions. In class A Rochester is living the dream after bumping off #1A Auburn Hills Avondale. The other higher seed slayer East Lansing gets some attention too. From the Detroit Free Press.
Brighton is in the A tournament. One of their assistant coaches is a recent grad Megan Razavi, 2003 grad. More on her path back home after her college career ended. From the Livingston Daily.
Tuesday the Quarterfinals in all classes begin around the State. Top teams left standing: A: #5 Brighton; B: #1 Birmingham Detroit Country Day; C: #1 Saginaw Nouvel; D: #1 Portland St. Patrick. The A tournament should be wide open.
Best match ups:
A #5 Brighton vs Saginaw Arthur Hill @ Saginaw Heritage
B #5 St. Clair vs #6 Portland @ DeWitt
C #1 Saginaw Nouvel vs #2 Detroit Community @ Chippewa Valley in Clintondale
D #1 Portland St. Patrick vs #2 Auburn Hills Oakland Christian @ Imlay City
As you can see seeding the state would make sense.
MINNESOTA
Willmar's perimeter game provided the lift in a 48-40 win over Bemidji. This time the story is from the West Central Tribune.
The Dakotas are ready to roll with their games. Here are the first reports from those states.
SOUTH DAKOTA
Aberdeen Roncalli look to use speed & quickness this season.
ADDED LINKS
I have added links to the Eastern Dakota Conference of North Dakota, Out & Abouts for this season so you don't have to try to scramble back and find a game, and Thorpe on a Soap Box. Rumorama is there may be some more postings soon.
If you missed the recap of last week, which I put up last night, go back & read.
Thanks to the readers that help make this site zoom. Two game reports give it more pop. I can't be everywhere at once.
