D1 ACTION
Minnesota lost in the Subway Classic finals for the first time in six season and for the first time this season to Middle Tennessee State 79-61. Minnesota coughed the ball up 31 times on the night. Maine took third with a 69-63 win over Princeton. Four former MN players had a combined two points in this contest.
Balance is a key component as Indiana was two shy of the century in a 98-71 win over Dayton.
#17 Michigan State topped Texas-Arlington 65-49. Mia Johnson, former Mpls North guard had 16 to lead MSU. Alyssa DeHaan was two blocks away from a triple double.
#12 Purdue put some distance between themselves and #16 Baylor in a WNIT championship win 69-55.
#7 Ohio State pinned another loss on #19 Southern Cal 77-58. USC's Shay Murphy reached the 1000 point mark at SDSU two nights prior.
South Dakota State continued its winning ways with a 85-51 thumping of SW MN State. SDSU forced 36 turnovers resulting in 45 points in the contest. From the Marshall Independent.

Chicago State zipped by slow starting Central Michigan 78-64. From Mpls North player Faith Buchanan starts for Chicago State and had 6. The problem is Chicago State's website is not top notch.
Drake is undefeated at 3-0 after their 58-43 win over CSU Fullerton.
Balance helped Evansville to a 76-53 win over Lipscomb.
UI Chicago pulled out an 81-80 overtime win over instate rival Eastern Illinois. UIC trailed by 13 in the first half.
Notre Dame trailed in the second half 46-43 before rallying for an 87-67 win over Western Michigan.
UW Milwaukee won their first game of the year in a 65-56 win over Central Connecticut State.
