I had to put up another post because USA Today has a couple of articles worth looking at:

1. cover story on the transfer problem throughout the country. Those of us in Minnesota have seen open enrollment decimate some programs and build others up.

Freedom? I think it is looking for greener grass on the other side of the fence. Players want the spotlight, they want the gravy, and they want it now. There is something to be said about overcoming problems and obstacles in the quest for excellence. Superficial external things don't matter. But staying, and changing the environment where you are, that takes a rare breed, and only a few can ever take satisfaction in that major accomplishment.

2. Dawn Staley is featured in the Soul of a Champion series. Staley was told she was too short and too slow to make it. Obviously she didn't listen to detractors. She credits mental strength and game smarts in her success. You can look at more photos and some video in this excellent feature.
