FATHER-DAUGHTER GAME
It will be daughter vs father on Sunday as the Minnesota Gophers, with Kelly Roysland, faces new UM Crookston coach Mike Roysland at 2 pm at Williams arena. UM Crookston had a big roster change from a year ago. The MN Daily previews the contest.

POINT GUARDS
There is a point guard battle taking place in Madison. Right now 5-3 Rae Lin D'Alie, Waterford, WI has the edge over Concordia Roseville's Sarah Ingison. Both are freshmen. From the Capital Times.

Krystal Ellis has the point guard duties at Marquette this season. The sophomore, a former Racine St. Catherine star, helped Marquette to a second place finish in the NIT last year. From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

PRESEASON PREVIEWS
Hawaii opens their season tonight with an exhibition game against Hawai'i Pacific. A faster pace is in store this season. Hawaii has been practicing with a 20 second shot clock. From the Honolulu Advertiser.

North Dakota opens the season at the Disney Tip Off Classic at Orlando today. They open with North Georgia today with games against Lock Haven and Texas A & M Commerce Saturday and Sunday. UND is #1 in the D2 Bulletin preseason poll.

Edgewood College has been selected to finish 6th in the new Northern Athletic Conference. Concordia WI is picked to finish first.

Alma is selected for 7th in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association. Hope College is tabbed for first.

GAME REPORTS
UI Chicago opened their exhibition season with a win over the Chicago Challengers 80-66. Jessie Miller, Holy Angels came up with seven points, and Cassie Johnson, Eastview added six.

Mott Community College won their season opener over Mohawk College iin a 99-39 trashing. They have a roster stocked with former Flint area standouts. From the Flint Journal.
