Mallory Menefee, Nodaway Valley reached the 1000 point level with 20 points in a 66-46 win against Wayne

Whitney Coffield, Kittson County North reached the 1000 point mark with 10 points in a 62-48 loss to Stephen-Argyle J26. She is the first girl from KCN to reach the mark. She will be the last too as KCN is on track to pair with Kittson Central next year.

Samantha Baldwin, Drayton-St. Thomas reached the 1000 point mark with 14 points in a game with North Border J30. She is the first from this school pairing, but she is the third from her family. Two aunts, Marybeth and Laurie Baldwin, reached 1000 at the St. Thomas-Valley pairing. Laurie Baldwin Sieben is now the coach at Grafton. Samantha's father is the coach at Drayton-St. Thomas and brother to the two sisters.

PRICE AND COST
I know everybody is amazed by the point totals by Price, but how good was the other team? I think we know the answer to that question. That is why I totally throw out those results when rating players. She will never see that kind of opposition on the bigger stage of college basketball. How easy is it to shoot fish in a barrell? From what I understand she was 54/60 from the floor--mostly on lay ups. There is no point in keeping a player in a contest that is over. Now I also believe it is up to the other team to get better. But at some point there is a point of diminishing returns. Pressing for the sake of a record...not impressive.
Murray Bergtraum needs to upgrade it's schedule and eliminate the cupcakes.
