Looking at the numbers the top numbers at the JUCO level may be due to the shot clock and longer games. JUCO teams really push the ball compared to the class A ball. More mistakes are bound to happen at that point.

Top Individuals (limited to 15 possessions)
JUCO
Ward, Rainy River 126.7
Owens, Minneapolis 111.1
Billiet 94.7
Virkus, Itasca 94.1
Bents, MN West 93.3
If you add 10 possessions
Gladis, Rochester 130
Fitzgerald, Rochester 100
Munson, Ridgewater 100

3A South (again 15 possessions)
Hussong, SW Star 158.3
Sarah Raddle, Fulda 155.6
Henkels, SW Star 123.5
Snyder, SW MN Christian 120
Fransman, HBC 111.1
Brooke DeWall, SW Star 111.1
If you add 10 possession players
Erica Their, Adrian 188.9
Emily Bose, MCC 181.8
Katlin Wiertsema, Adrian 140

Again the numbers aren't as high in JUCO. That may be due to more aggressive defense, faster paced games.
The 3A players (all from the Red Rock conference) stack up pretty well with the Valley. According to the numbers the 3A South has better numbers than the Vally and the MCAA teams and players. The odd thing is the 3 players from SW Star made the top numbers. Adrian had players in the high numbers, but they did not have the 15 possession mark. Also you may notice some big point number players (Sam Lynn, Amy Kallemeyn) did not show up in the pp100. Both players were just a tad out of the money with Lynn at 103.7, and Kallemeyn 107.1. Both are money players, but were not as effective as the others on this day.

Also I am sorry I was unable to attended the MCCC finals in Willmar. I had family over this afternoon, and, quite frankly I am pretty tired and the heart of the tournaments are coming up.
I enjoyed going to the games, but I need my rest. My wife insists.

Next up tomorrow morning with a look ahead at the tournaments.
