Stars Shine in Kansas, Tinglestad 3xWinner

KANSAS RESULTS
MN Stars Martin 13u got by Missouri Lightning by 5 point in the first round. Heather Bowe of Eau Claire, WI & Phyliss Webb of Brooklyn Park both had 12 points. The late night 8 pm game went to the wire with Katie Stone of Eau Claire knocking down two free throws with 18 seconds left to seal the win 44-40 and push MSM into the Semis tomorrow morning at 11 am.
On the other side of Wichita, MN Stars Jihad 15u took out the Sparks of Oklahoma City 58-41. Brianna Williams, Sarina Baker & Kaylani Edwards all played exceptionally well. MSJ now advances to the Semis at 10 am. If they win they will move on to the finals at 2 pm.

ALL STAR GAMES
Wyoming beat South Dakota in a girls basketball all star game at Spearfish 93-88. Both states won each other's court. Cami Koehn of Colman-Egan led SD with 23 points. From the Rapid City Journal.

BASKETBALL ON TRACK
Ashley Tinglestad of Lake Park-Audubon won three events in the Class A Minnesota State track meet yesterday. Tinglestad won the 100, 200 and 400. She set a new record in the 400. From the Fargo Forum.

Former Rochester Mayo player Kelly Miller is listed on the Russian women's basketball Preliminary Squad .
