NORTH TARTAN 15s 61, MN STARS DEWITT 41
The North Tartan 15s advanced to the 16u finals with another solid win, this time against MN Stars DeWitt 61-41. Sari Noga blistered the nets for 25 points with five three pointers.
Early on the game went back and forth. There were nine lead changes and four ties in the first nine minutes. Both teams were fairly deliberate in their attack, waiting for the right shot at the right time. NT15 didn't take the lead for good until Noga hit her first 3 from the right wing to make it 18-16. Both teams were hot in their first 17 possessions with NT15 checking in with 129.4 and MSD coming in right at 100. NT15 continued their h
ot hands and DeWitt cooled off. The rest of the half NT15 out scored DeWitt 13-7. Noga had 14 at half and Angela Christianson chipped in with 9 as NT15 led 35-24.
As hot as the first half was, the second was definitely cooler. MSD scored three straight times to cut the NT15 lead to 35-30. NT15 only scored once in the first 10 possessions of the second half. With MSD hanging around at 37-32, Noga hit for three 3s in the next five NT15 possessions to expand the lead back out to 47-32. MSD had a seven possession concurrent drought. NT15 outscored MSD 14-7 the rest of the game.
