Northland Six, More Ames, Eickhoff in Northern Arizona

SIGNINGS
Northland has added six players for the upcoming season:
Lindsay Dake, Muskego, WI
Ashleigh Galligan, Campbellsport, WI
Maria Mackey, Holmen, WI
Ashley Runge, Grand Rapids, MN
Lulu Seelye, Deer River, MN
Kristin Zimmer, Laona, WI

As a group, these girls finished with a 103-45 record their senior years. Four of them are three-year varsity players and the other two played four years. Two of them were Honorable Mention All-State, and of those two, one was an Area Player of the Year (Ashley Runge – Hibbing) and the other, Maria Mackey, was First Team – LaCrosse Area. Lulu Seelye would have received big awards too, but went down with a knee injury but should have a great college career.

MORE ALL IOWA ATTACK TOURNAMENT
CORNHUSKER SHOOTING STARS
The Cornhusker Shooting Stars 13U won the U 13 division finishing 5-0 with victories over MN North Tartan, Wisconsin Select, MN Stars Farview, MO Valley Blazers and All Iowa Attack.

The Cornhusker Shooting Stars 12U won the U 12 division finishing 5-0 with victories over North Tartan, Iowa Storm, Fargo Jam Girlz, MN Suns and All Iowa Attack in the Finals. CSS 11U finished 3rd after defeated MN Stars Antl in the quarterfinals, they came up short against MN Stars Farview in the semis.

NE Judds CSS 15U finished 3-1 and lost a shootout against All Iowa Attack 15U, Judds had 2 opportunities to tie the game in final 45 seconds but fell up short against the eventual tournament champions.

Both the NE Bison CSS 17's and NE Judds CSS 15's will be in action starting Thursday in Sioux Falls, SD.

FURY
15u and 16u Fury teams both reached the final four in the All Iowa Attack tournament.

16u lost to Team WI Select Samuels, (eventual champion) by 6 points in the Semi Finals.

In bracket play beat NE Nebraska Extreme, and Team WI Select Doucette before losing to Team WI Samuels. They lost to NE Bison in pool play, oddly enough, there were 8 pools, and all of the final four teams came out of two pools.

The 15u team was not at full strength, missing Chrissy Holm, Rochelle Cichy, Tiffany Van Haaften, & Lisa Springer. 15u players Tessa Cichy and Morgan Zabel filled in during Sunday games after the 15u loss and gave the 16u team valuable minutes.

The 16u Fury will travel to Sioux Falls for the Miss Basketball Dakota Showcase, which starts Thursday.

COACHING NEWS
Chad Eickhoff is the new assistant women's basketball coach at Northern Arizona. He had been an assistant at St. Cloud State. This winter he was named by gbbrecruit as the most visible coach on the recruiting trail. From the St. Cloud Times.

ANNIVERSARY
South Christian is celebrating the 20th anniversary of two state championships in the same calendar year. The boys team won the B title in March, the Girls team took the B title in December (Michigan played fall basketball until last season). From the Grand Rapids Press.
