Krystyna Rickett, Sandusky, hit a game winning 3 with 8 seconds left to propel the West to a 65-63 win over the East in the Blue Waters All Star Game at Richmond, MI. She got the key defensive rebound at the other end and was named MVP of the event. From the Port Huron Times Herald.

COACHING NEWS
Tim Rieman has been hired as the new girls basketball coach at Portage Northern, their third coach in seven months. Rieman takes over for Phil Sayers who never even coached a game for PN. Tom Paccione coached the girls last year to a 6-15 record. From the Kalamazoo Gazette.

Heath Kent has been hired as the new girls basketball coach at Marine City. He has been the JV assistant boys coach. Former coach Shawn Sharrow left for the St. Clair boys coaching job. Marine City was 14-7 last year. From the Port Huron Times Herald.
