SEATTLE storm 90, MINNESOTA lynx 76
More of the same. The back to back double dip hurt the Lynx. The Lynx now stand at 1-10 and the road looks pretty steep to get to the playoffs.
KEY BREAK POINT: Minnesota only trailed 34-32 when Minnesota went on a six possession drought while Seattle scored on five of six possessions and had a 14-0 run to go up 46-32. The Lynx didn't have an answer for that. Minnesota only had one turnover in the sequence. They were limited to one shot on each miss.
LYNX ROLL (briefly): In the first quarter the Lynx were rolling with six straight scoring possessions on a 13-2 run. All good things come to an end and this was no exception. Seattle would close the quarter with five straight scores, while MN was 2/5.
ACTION JACKSON: No one Lynx player stopped Lauren Jackson who had a very strong performance with 30 points, 9 rebounds (8 defensively) and a pp100 of 187.5, and floor % of .813. Combined with Janel Burse their starting 4/5 had 43 points. The Lynxsters starting 4/5 had 22.
DEFENSE.??? again the Runs just kept on coming for Seattle with three runs of five or more. In the third quarter they had their largest with a seven possession scoring binge. The Lynx have only held a two teams to sub 100 pp100 this season, and only one to under 90 pp10 and oddly enough the Lynx won that contest.
Next up for the Lynx will be hosting home town hero Lindsey Whalen.
