SUMMER JAM DAY 2
It was a good day to play up in the Summer Jam AAU Tournament at Bloomington Kennedy.

In the 19 division it was a pair of 16s that met in the finals. North Tartan Larson made a statement with their 75-53 win over MN Stars Hested. They started fast, moved the ball and their pp100s clicked showed it with a 117.2 pp100. They led early 17-4 after 11 possessions. MN Stars Hested had one burst of activity to close to 21-17, but after that they stalled. At half time it was 44-27 NTL. To start the second half NTL scored on their first four possessions and led 53-29.
North Tartan Larson beat Team Wisconsin Select 17s 55-43 in the semis, while MSH topped Metro Stars 19s 67-39.

In the 16 division it was IBCA Select I beating the surprise team of the tournament North Tartan 15s 60-44. IBCA Select I has not lost yet this year, but had a tight quarterfinal against North Tartan Crosby 48-44 this morning. They beat Southern Minne Magic Black 60-34 in the semis. This is IBCA Select's second tournament this spring/summer.
The surprising North Tartan 15s are starting to jell as the days get longer. They upset Team Wisconsin Select 16s in the quarters 55-53 without the Katie Loberg. They then beat IBCA Select II 58-41 in the semis.

Earlier in the day I watched the quarters in the 16s between Southern Minne Magic Black and Metro Stars 15s. SMMB won 45-39 in a grinder. Metro Stars 15s struggled in the first half starting off 1/15 on their possessions.

Other games of note: in the championship of the 13s it was Team Wisconsin 13s beating North Tartan 13s 77-69 in overtime.

Also today in the Inner City All Star Classic it was Team Unity defeating Team Faith. Angel Robinson of team Unity added to her MVP trophy case with another award.

The reason this was later tonight was after the game I visited my parents---it was father's day after all today.

Also I am trying to manage the 100s of photos I have taken this weekend. Thanks to loyal reader Julie for her great tips. I think I figured out the Tv mode on the camera now.

Next up: A look at the Lynx later tonight.
