BASKETBALL PLAYERS IN TRACK
The Minnesota State track meet is going on this weekend and some results are already over with basketball players playing a big part.
CLASS AA
In the High Jump it was pretty much an all basketball field.
Hanna Muegge of Hopkins (Metro Stars Black) won the event at 5-5 topping section rival Lauren Young of Edina (Metro Stars 19 & Colorado State) by one inch at 5-4.
Katie Loberg of Princeton (North Tartan 15) finished third at 5-4.
Danielle Daniels of North St. Paul and next year St. Paul Johnson came in at fourth with a 5-4. Daniels plays with East Metro Elite in the spring/summer.
Tied for fifth is Heather Brunn of Rogers with a 5-2.
In 8th was Jessica Butler of Grand Rapids at 5-2.
So of the top 9 places 6 were basketball players.

In the Long Jump a few basketball players made noise.
