NEW ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, NEW COACH
Marshall has hired girls basketball coach Bruce Remme as their new Athletic Director. This means he will need to give up the coaching duties. The only item remaining is for the school board to approve the move. From the Marshall Independent.

TOURNAMENT NEWS
The AAU Summer Jam tournament will be held at Bloomington Kennedy this weekend. Halves are 16 minutes, not the 20 that the State AAU tournament had. There will be 7 teams at the 19u level; MN Stars Hested and North Tartan Larson are playing up at that level along with Wisconsin Select 17. At the 16u level there are 30 teams with IBCA Select I, the current #1 team in the gbbrecruit rankings. There will be teams from Wisconsin, North Dakota, and more Iowa teams in that bracket. The the Minnesota 15 champ Metro Stars, is playing up. In the 15u White division has some very interesting teams and may have the best competition of all the brackets. Included in that field is the Minnesota 14 champ North Tartan along with Team WI Select 15 with their two 6-6 twin towers.

North Tartan Larson has been invited to the Nike Nationals in Georgia this summer.

SUMMER LEAGUES
Champlin Park, Lakeville North, and the Iron Range Summer Leagues all have games today.
