FIBA AMERICAS TOURNAMENT
2008 USA Basketball Women's U18 National Team beat Canada 72-56 in the FIBA Americas championships in Argentina on Thursday. Friday the Americans beat Puerto Rico 116-36.

NABI TOURNAMENT
The BBall Divas of South Dakota lost to the e-LEMON-ators of Shiprock, NM 69-65 on Thursday in the Native American Basketball Tournament in Phoenix. From the Rapid City Journal.

TRANSFER
As reported here earlier Emily Neal has left Colorado State and has transfered to Wisconsin. She will be eligible for two more years starting in the 2009-10 season.

POLICE BLOTTER
Former Concordia Moorhead janitor Steven James Sopko was found guilty of seven counts of interfering with privacy for placing a camera in a locker room that captured nude images of the women's basketball team. He will be sentenced September 2.
