Decisions, Preseason WNIT, Gas & Class

COLLEGE DECISIONS
The Press Newspapers in the Northeast Metro list the college decisions of six different schools. Here are the girls basketball players:
Centennial
Kiara Allums, George Washington
Emily Becken, Northern State
Kayla Blom, Sioux Falls
Emily DeWitt, St. Mary’s Winona
White Bear Lake
Tanya Dickey, UW Stout

Tehani Goldsmith of Yavapai College (a two year school in Arizona) has signed with Memphis. The 5-8 guard averaged 19.6 ppg last year. Goldsmith went to high school at Phoenix Chavez.

COACHING NEWS

MORE AAU 12U
The Rochester Post Bulletin has more tidbits from the 12u tournament like floors, merchandise and future tournaments.

MORE TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
The Omaha World Herald has the leading scorers for CSS Bison and CSS Judds in yesterday's contests.

PRESEASON WNIT
Indiana will be playing in the WNIT tournament this fall. Cleveland State, Lafayette and Illinois State are other Preseason WNIT players.

GAS & CLASS
States in the southeast are looking at eliminating some classes to help defray gas costs. Schools won't have to travel as far to find games the theory goes. Will Minnesota join the trend? There are rumblings of going to three classes across the board.
