AAU BASKETBALL
The Eau Claire Leader Telegram continues there look at summer basketball. Today AAU basketball is examined---it is not just for D1 players anymore. Those that want to make their high school team are increasingly turning to the summer AAU teams. Most of the quotes are from boys players and teams, but it applies to girls as well.
Also the ECLT looks at the recruiting trail college coaches travel.

BIG THREE
Detroit Renaissance has three players (Lorreal Jones, Arrice Bryant and Asia Boyd ) that have stepped up their game this summer. From the Detroit Free Press.

18U NATIONAL TEAM
The USA beat Brazil Saturday 96-51. They Americans now move to the Gold medal game.
Future Buckeye Samantha Prahalis had 12 points in the USA 18u National team 116-36 win over Puerto Rico in the FIBA Tournament in Argentina.

POLICE BLOTTER
University of Louisiana-Monroe women's basketball player Regena Jackson was arrested early Saturday morning and dismissed from school after a fight on campus that involved gunfire. From the Monroe Star News.
