Purdue edged Valparaiso 65-62. Lakisha Freeman (Saginaw Arthur Hill) had 16 to lead Purdue. Sarah Ott (Chippewa Falls) had 10 points for Valpo.

Marquette beat Chicago Loyola 82-69. Angel Robinson (St. Paul Central) started and had 10 points for Marquette. Leading scorer for Marquette was Janelle Harris (Detroit Renaissance). The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel looks at the balanced attack.

Oakland beat Marygrove 107-40. Jessica Pike (Clawson) had 26 for Oakland.

Temple beat Central Michigan 83-45. Shenita Landry (Milwaukee King) had 4 for Temple. Angel Chan (Wyoming Park, MI) had 17 for Central Michigan.

Wichita State topped Texas Southern 57-40. Daria Frazier (Mpls North) had 7 for Wichita State.
