MINNESOTA REPORTS
PREVIEWS
The Mankato East and West girls basketball teams are both previewed in the Mankato Free Press.

The season REALLY starts today. There are tournaments all over, but most eyes will be focused on Hamline where there are two tournaments going on. Andover and Hopkins tip off the season at 1 pm at Hamline followed by Cretin-Derham Hall vs Mpls North at 3 pm. In the West bracket of the Hamline tournament Centennial and Rosemount start at 5 pm and Totino-Grace takes on St. Paul Central at 7 pm. The tournament concludes Saturday with the first games moving up to 11 am.
There are 7 other tournaments going on today.
As far as the non game at Washburn---my inside sources tell me Washburn only has 18 girls out and they were in no way, shape or form going to compete with Kennedy. The game was actually cancelled earlier in the week.

IOWA REPORTS

Sioux City Heelan will face #1A Lawton-Bronson in the Heelan Tip-Off Classic today.
