Georgie Jones of St. Paul Central scored her 1000th point early in the first half against Centennial on Saturday. She now has 1011.
LATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS
Eden Valley-Watkins won the Norwood-Young America tournament with ease over the weekend. They beat Mpls Henry 79-16 in the semis and host NYA in the finals 70-29. From the Litchfield Independent Review.
River Falls, WI beat host Red Wing in the finals of the Red Wing tournament on Saturday 60-46. From the Red Wing Republican Eagle.
In other RW area action Lake City picked up a win over Wabasha-Kellogg, while Goodhue, who was ranked in class A, fell to host Dover-Eyota in their tournament. From the RWRE.

Former Meadow Creek girls basketball coach and current athletic director Brian Budish died last Tuesday from lung cancer.
