Gophers Lose for the First Time

Minnesota lost for the first time this year. Virginia defeated the Gophers 73-62 in Hawaii. Ashley Ellis-Milan (St. Paul Central) had 16 to lead Minnesota.

Texas A&M beat Indiana 60-48 in the Virgin Islands. Jamie Braun (Marshfield, WI) had 14 for the Hoosiers.

Ohio State beat Colgate 88-26 in the Ohio State tournament. Shavelle Little (Ann Arbor Huron) had 5 for the Buckeyes.

Temple beat Purdue 61-47 in the Virgin Islands. Shenita Landry (Milw King) had 8 for Temple. Lakisha Freeman (Saginaw Arthur Hill) had five for Purdue.

Wisconsin's game against Texas Arlington in the Pepperdine tournament was cancelled due to the wildfires in Malibu.

American beat Brown 57-46 in Rhode Island. Talicia Jackson (DeLaSalle) had 13 for American.

Columbia beat Mercer 60-51. Chelsea Frazier (Breck) had 4 for Columbia.

Lafayette beat Princeton 78-68. Laura Cullen (Clinton, WI) did not score for Lafayette. Jillian Schurle (Hopkins) had 9 and Ali Prichard (Apple Valley) did not score for Princeton.

Quinnipiac beat Maine 70-49. Brittany Bowen (Merrill, WI) had 3 for Maine.

Marshall beat Niagara 79-66. Kizzy Hart (Oak Park, MI) had 11 for Marshall.

St. Mary's CA beat Boise State 78-63. Sierra Moeller (Pierre, SD) had 2 for Boise State.

Creighton beat Colorado State in the championship in the Colorado State tournament 78-56. Sara Cain (Cedar Rapids Prairie) had 14 to lead Creighton. Michelle Kaus (Eastview) had 8 and Tyrai Bronson (Mpls North) had 3 for Creighton. Elle Queen (Minnetonka) had 11 for Colorado State. Lauren Young (Edina) and Emily Neal (Breck) each had four. Kelly Finley (Breck) did not score for CSU.

Colorado beat Rice 72-55 to finish third in their own tournament. Hannah Skildum (Mounds View) had 8 for Colorado.

Denver beat Montana State 80-68. Ashly Robinson (Bloomington Kennedy) had 9 for Denver.

Idaho State beat Kennesaw State 87-68. Ally Sisal (Luxemburg-Casco, WI) did not score for ISU.

New Mexico beat Oregon 65-46. Amy Beggin (Roseville) had 17 points and was named MVP of the Lobo's tournament. Jessica Kielpinski (Mandan, ND) added 6.

Northern Colorado beat SE Missouri State 60-49. Courtney Stoermer (Iowa City West) had 11 for Northern Colorado.

Drake beat Western Michigan 82-70. Jill Martin (Norwalk, IA) had 27 for Drake. Lauren Dybing (St. Croix Lutheran) had 15 also for Drake. Tiera DeLaHoussaye (Detroit Country Day) had 22 for Western Michigan.

North Carolina State beat Eastern Michigan 63-41. Amber Land (Kulm, ND) did not score for EMU.

Loyola Marymount beat Indiana State 74-51. Sarah Paul (Elkhorn, WI) had 2 for ISU.

IPFW beat Miami, OH 79-74 in overtime. Samantha Edwards (Okemos, MI) had 15 for IPFW.

Southern Methodist beat Kansas 68-56. Kelly Kohn (Adrian, MI) did not score for Kansas.

Kent State beat Navy 53-47. Asheley Harkins (Saginaw Arthur Hill) had 7 for Kent State.

Louisville beat Chattanooga 80-53. Brandie Radde (Niles, MI) and Keshia Hines (Auburn Hills Avondale, MI) each had 8 for Louisville.

Utah beat Nebraska 56-44. Cory Montgomery (Cannon Falls) had 5 for Nebraska.

Fairfield beat North Dakota State 70-53. Lisa Bue (Austin) had 16 and Brenda Slyt (Climax-Fisher) had 13 for NDSU.

South Dakota State beat Southern Illinois 62-53. Ketty Corneman (Yankton, SD) had 15 for SDSU. Tanaeya Worden (Sioux City North, IA) had 6 for SIU.

South Alabama beat UMKC 69-55. Alysa Klein (Okoboji, IA) had a career best 27 points for UMKC. Marta Waalen (St. Paul Central) did not score for UMKC.

Sam Houston State beat Western Illinois 72-69. Lindsey Wutt (Waterford, WI) had 4 for Western Illinois.

Wake Forest beat Wichita State 54-47. Daria Frazier (Mpls North) had 10 for Wichita State.
